According to a Reuters report, the European Commission said that Intel’s CEO will meet with EU Industrial Policy Executive Brighton on April 30. On the same day, Brighton will also hold a video conference with Maria Marced, President of TSMC Europe.
According to people familiar with the matter, Brighton will discuss the possibility of establishing a new chip factory in Europe, as well as other possible partnerships.
In a plan called the "2030 Digital Compass", the European Commission puts forward a new goal. By 2030, Europe's advanced and sustainable semiconductor production will account for at least 20% of global production, and the production capacity will sprint 2nm.
