Solar PV inverter market to decline over next four years

Feb 02 52

The report Solar PV inverters – Update 2018 says that Asia Pacific, currently the leading market for solar inverters, with a market valued at £3.75b in 2017, will suffer the most and see its market share fall from 59%  to 38% in 2022. The Americas market is expected to grow from 27% to 41% and EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) will increase from 14% to 21% in  the period 2017 to 2022.

Subha Krishnan, Power Analyst at GlobalData, said: “In terms of market value, China, the US, and Japan together held over 65% and led the global solar PV inverter market in the year 2017. The market developments in the top countries are largely due to economies of scale, emerging inverter technologies, and policy-based government and institutional industry.”
