Today (9), Cirrus Logic announced that it has reached an agreement to acquire California-based Lion Semiconductor for US$335 million in cash.

Cirrus Logic mentioned that this acquisition brings unique intellectual property rights and products to power applications for smartphones, notebook computers and other devices, and accelerates the company's high-performance mixed-signal business growth. Lion is expected to immediately increase GAAP and non-GAAP earnings per share, contributing approximately $60 million in revenue between the completion of the transaction and the end of fiscal year 22.
