In this regard, foreign-funded institutions in the United States pointed out that it is estimated that this year's revenue will be flat and raised to a year-on-year increase of 4-15%.
Foreign institutions said Hon Hai’s June revenue of NT$526.2 billion was 32% higher than expected by foreign institutions: the overall performance was strong, except for the slowdown in mobile phone shipments from a high base period in May.
Hon Hai's revenue in the second quarter was NT$1.51 trillion, an increase of 7.26% month-on-month and an increase of 11.3% year-on-year. Foreign institutions also pointed out that the revenue in the second quarter also exceeded the expectations of foreign institutions by 10-15%. It is expected that with the increase in revenue, Hon Hai's gross profit margin will reach 6.1% estimated by foreign institutions, and single-quarter EPS (earnings per share) It is estimated to reach NT$2.29, an increase of 8% month-on-month and a year-on-year increase of 7%.
Benefiting from the overall strong demand in the server market, Hon Hai has strong double-digit growth in the second quarter compared with the same period last year. We are optimistic about the overall business strength of Hon Hai in the third quarter, especially the upcoming launch of servers and new iPhones. Revenue is revised up from flat to 4-15% year-over-year growth.
Foreign institutions also emphasized that despite supply chain disruptions and macro market fluctuations, Hon Hai will continue to contribute to the business strength of year-on-year revenue growth in 2022. This is due to its solid execution, the advantages of global production bases and the increase in market share.
In addition, some foreign institutions pointed out that Hon Hai also contributed to the electric vehicle business in the third quarter.
