Taiyo Yuden announced the last quarter (April-June 2022) financial report after the Japanese stock market on the 3rd: Due to the spread of the new crown pneumonia epidemic, some areas were closed on a large scale, and shipments were suspended during April-May. In terms of divisions, the revenue of the Taiyo Yuden Capacitor Division (MLCC Division) in the last quarter increased by 2.6% year-on-year to 54.583 billion yen, the revenue of the Inductance Division increased by 3.2% to 11.748 billion yen, and the revenue of the Composite Components Division. The revenue of other divisions (including aluminum electrolytic capacitors, energy components and other products) increased by 18.7% to 6.248 billion yen.

Taiyo Yuden pointed out that the amount of orders received in the last quarter decreased by 29% to 71.6 billion yen compared with the same period last year, which was the fourth consecutive quarter of decline. Among them, the order value of the capacitor department decreased by 30% to 47 billion yen, the third consecutive year. season decreases.

Taiyo Yuden is considering reducing the capacity utilization rate of capacitors (MLCCs) for the July-September 2022 period from 95% announced in May to around 85%.
