The agency estimates that the global LTPS LCD on-board display panel shipment will be about 35.1 million pieces in 2022, with the penetration rate increasing to about 19.6%; In 2022, the global demand for front mounted on-board display panels will reach 180 million, with a year-on-year growth of about 10.0%. Recently, the major panel manufacturers have continuously deepened their exchanges and cooperation with the vehicle manufacturers, and the investment in the field of on-board display has both stabilized and expanded the market share, while pursuing breakthroughs in high value-added products such as complex modules.

From the perspective of the competition pattern of the panel factory, Tianma, by readjusting its new "2+1+N" strategy, has positioned the vehicle business as one of the company's two core businesses, strengthened the vehicle business, continuously increased the investment in the vehicle field, strengthened the cooperation with the vehicle factory, and accelerated the layout of the new energy vehicle track. In the first half of 2022, the shipment volume of Shenzhen Tianma's vehicle mounted display screen will be about 13.6 million pieces, with a year-on-year growth of about 7.3%, and will continue to rank first in the shipment of front loading market with a market share of 15.9%.

In the first half of 2022, Japan Display (JDI) will ship 12.3 million vehicle mounted displays, a year-on-year increase of 12.3%, and return to the second place in front loading market with 14.3% market share; BOE will ship 10.6 million display panels in the vehicle mounted front loading market in the first half of 2022, with a significant year-on-year growth of about 46.4%. In addition, it will still sell 4 million display panels in the afterloading market, becoming the display panel supplier with the fastest growth rate in the vehicle mounted display market.

In addition, in the first half of 2022, AUO will ship about 10.1 million pieces of on-board display panels, down 11.8% year on year,. However, its LTPS LCD products accounted for a significant increase, accounting for 31.7% of its shipments in the first half of the year, which helped its vehicle business revenue continue to increase, and its share of total revenue in the second quarter rose to 14.0%; LG Display (LGD) shipped about 8.26 million vehicle mounted display panels in the first half of 2022, down about 13.0% year on year. However, the proportion of its LTPS LCD has increased from 22% last year to 50%, and its high-end OLED vehicle mounted products still maintain the first market share.
