According to the statistics of CINNO Research, in the third quarter of 2022, the sales volume of folding screen mobile phones in the Chinese market reached 723000, a sharp increase of 114% year on year. The sales volume of domestic folding phones in the first three quarters of this year was higher than that in the same period of last year.

In terms of market share, Huawei's market share in the third quarter reached 53.2%, still leading the domestic folding mobile phone market; Samsung's market share was 20.5%, down 16.1 percentage points year on year; Xiaomi's market share was 9.0%, up 5.8% year on year, ranking third.

The global OLED industry continues to develop, and the cooperation between upstream and downstream makes the field of folding screen mobile phones grow quietly. From the specific data of each brand, Huawei's sales of folding phones in the third quarter of 2022 increased by 95% year on year, still ranking first in the domestic folding machine market. Huawei's P50 Pocket, a folding mobile phone launched in the fourth quarter of 2021, has won the first place in the single quarter sales of folding mobile phones in China for three consecutive quarters from Q1 to Q3 this year. The Mate Xs 2, which was launched in April, also achieved good results.

In terms of market share, Huawei's market share in the third quarter of 2022 reached more than half of 53.2%, a year-on-year decrease of 5.1 percentage points, but it still led the domestic folding mobile phone market; Samsung's market share was 20.5%, down 16.1 percentage points year on year; Xiaomi's market share was 9.0%, up 5.8 percentage points year on year, and its ranking jumped to the third place, mainly thanks to the launch of its new generation folding mobile phone product, MIX Fold2; The market shares of vivo, OPPO and Glory increased from none to 7.7%, 4.6% and 3.1% respectively.
