In addition, the gross profit margin was 41.3%, the operating profit margin 29.4% and the net profit margin after tax 28.1%.

In anticipation of the second quarter, TSMC is expected to open in the quarter due to the global economic downturn and the momentary devaluation of smartphone holdings. In addition, wafers affected by photoresist in the first quarter will be delivered to customers in the second quarter. Revenue will increase to $ 75.5 to $ 7.65 billion, an increase of 6.33 to 7.74% from the first quarter.

TSMC forecasts that the gross margin for the second quarter will rise to 43-45%, as the 7 nm film volume has increased significantly and the utilization of all processes is better than in the first quarter. In addition, TSMC pointed out that the investment will reach $ 10 to $ 11 billion for the full year.

In wafer shipments, 7% of process deliveries accounted for 22% of the company's wafer sales in the first quarter, 4 nm process deliveries to 4% and 16 nm to 16%. Overall, sales of advanced processes (16 nm and below) accounted for 42% of total wafer sales.

Today, at 1 pm (18), an earthquake of magnitude 6.1 occurred in Taiwan. The outside world is concerned about the production status of TSMC factories. Therefore, before the results meeting, TSMC said that the TSMC factories in Zhuke, Zhongke and Nanke were not affected by the earthquake inventory. In addition, there were evacuation cases in the Longtan factory in Taoyuan because of the earthquake-induced 4 earthquake, and it has now returned to normal.
