According to Canadian media reports, Huawei has begun to develop 6G technology in the R&D lab in Ottawa, Canada. This is a new generation technology after 5G network technology, but there is no unified 6G standard at present, and the research of 6G by major companies is still in its infancy.

In Canada, Huawei has established an advanced technology R&D center in Ottawa. It is one of Huawei's four core R&D centers. In more than a decade, Huawei has jointly developed new technologies with 13 universities and research institutions in Canada. Huawei has invested at least 50 million. Yuan funded university research.

Previously, Huawei founder Ren Zhengfei said that Huawei’s investment in Canada is at least a few billion dollars.

There is no definite news for the 6G research, because Huawei also stated that there will be no real 6G technology listed before 2030, and the industry is still in the pre-research.

Not only Huawei, but other manufacturers have also started 6G research and development. In June, Samsung Electronics has reorganized in the R&D center and formed a team specializing in 6G communication technology research and development. LG Electronics has established a 6G research laboratory to ensure the core technology of 6G mobile communication by cooperating with the famous Korea National Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST).

Because 6G is 100 times faster than 4G LTE and 5 times faster than 5G, scientists say it will open a new era. China has announced a road map to achieve 6G commercialization in 2030.
