SEMI: Faced with headwinds, North American semiconductor shipments remain for more than $2 billion in four months

Feb 02 70
According to the International Semiconductor Industry Association (SEMI) report, shipments of semiconductor equipment manufacturers in North America reached US$2.03 billion in August, a decrease of 1.4% from US$2,032 million in July and a 10.5% decrease from the same period last year.

It is understood that North American semiconductor shipments have exceeded $2 billion for four consecutive months.

SEMI said that the semiconductor industry is facing a headwind, but North American semiconductor equipment manufacturers still maintain a certain level of shipments, with shipments exceeding $2 billion for four consecutive months.

However, affected by the slowdown in the memory market, SEMI also expects that the global semiconductor equipment market will decline this year, which will hit a new low in three years. Next year, with the improvement of the memory market and China's active investment, the semiconductor equipment market is expected to recover.
