Improved picture quality! Toshiba Image plans to launch 8k Regza engine TV

According to the IT media network, Toshiba Imaging Solutions announced today that it is developing a TV with an 8K Regza engine. The engine itself is compatible with various 8K devices such as organic EL and liquid crystal.

It is reported that in the upcoming Qingshui Daisuke delayed photography exhibition "Light in the", the product will be used to display 8K works using delayed photography. This work will also be used as a Regza promotion video.

According to Yamashita Miyuki, director of the Audiovisual Technology Development Department of Toshiba Imaging Solutions, their goal is to achieve the highest quality in the world, using super-resolution technology to process image and video, and to reproduce natural image quality.

Regarding Regza's future research direction, Toshiba Image said it is studying new technologies for connecting image processing engines to the cloud. "Although the way of using AI to adjust image quality is constantly evolving, we are more confident in cloud technology, and there will be a further leap in image quality adjustment technology."

The 8K REGZA engine is not only compatible with organic EL and liquid crystal, but also can be used for high-quality processing of the REGZA 4K engine in the future.

The release date of the 8K Regza engine TV is not yet clear.
