According to the END Japan website, Renesas launched a new low-power RL78 / G14 rapid prototyping board in December. The reference unit price is $ 20. It is suitable for motor control of portable devices and Internet of Things (IoT) sensor devices. Development and multi-functional development, users can flexibly respond to rapid changes in technology and markets, shortening time to market for new products.

The RL78 / G14 built-in emulator circuit has the same functions as the E2 emulator Lite (E2 Lite), so there is no need to purchase additional debugging tools. The new development board has access to all RL78 / G14 signal pins, including Arduino and Pmod ™ interfaces, for easy function expansion.

In addition, combining Semtech SX1261 or SX1262LoRa® transceivers with this prototype development board enables LoRa® wireless communication-based IoT sensor devices to achieve longer battery drive times on prototype designs.

RL78 / G14 is feature-rich, suitable for motor control in portable devices, IoT sensors and most IoT terminal devices, such as home appliances, industrial equipment, building automation and medical and health equipment.
