May 15, 2020-MediaTek announced that its MT2625 NB-IoT chip has passed the LwM2M protocol verification based on NIDD technology on the SoftBank Corporation cellular network in Japan. This achievement marks the first time LwM2M is ready for the global deployment of NIDD. It is a secure and ultra-efficient IoT communication technology that is being adopted by operators worldwide. NIDD-based LwM2M protocol has many advantages, including higher security, more cost-effective scalability and lower power consumption.
