TCL also said that the production line is expected to become the world's first mass-produced 8.5-generation printed OLED production line.
Printing technology is considered to be an effective way to solve the high cost of OLED and produce large-size panels. And TCL has been focusing on the field of printed OLED, trying to compete with Samsung and LG in the large-size panel market. Earlier, TCL CSOT signed an investment agreement with Japan's JOLED to invest 30 billion yen (approximately 2 billion yuan) in the latter to develop in-depth technical cooperation in the field of inkjet printing OLED.
