Pegatron: The technology industry is still in short supply, but orders will not fluctuate much in the next 3-6 months

Feb 02 57
According to Juheng.com, Pegatron Chairman Tong Zixian said at the Taipei Computer Trade Union membership meeting that the technology industry is still working hard and in short supply. The medium and long-term "remote mode" and the growth trend of demand for technology products remain unchanged. Don't worry about too much ups and downs in orders in the next 3-6 months.

Tong Zixian said that driven by the above business opportunities, many manufacturers have long order schedules and short-term shortages are difficult to solve. In addition, remote communication, remote productivity, and remote learning are future trends.

Parts used in computers, smart phones, and automobiles are showing an unprecedented "out of stock" scene. The grab for supply spreads across all fields-from basic materials such as glass substrates to semi-finished parts such as displays. Andrew Chen, chief executive officer of Campbell Electronics in Taiwan, said, "We have not seen such a large-scale component shortage for a long time."
