So now there are mono and stereo jack sockets as well as high current terminal posts.

“XLR connectors are widely used in audio and broadcast systems and are increasingly popular in instrumentation, medical and industrial products due their flexibility, security and reliability of the format,” said the Surrey firm. “By utilising the XLR cut-out, connectors can all be mounted on control panels with the same hole punched for every connector required.”

The 3.5mm mono jack socket and 6.35mm (1/4 inch) stereo jack socket both models feature plug operated switching contacts and solder-tag connection.

The TP6 single terminal binding posts are available in red and black and intended for use up to 30A. They incorporate top and cross connecting 4mm diameter holes and are connected to the system at the rear by plain threaded spindle. Flammability rating is UL94HB minimum.

The jack sockets and terminal posts may be ordered with either a 3.5mm countersunk mounting hole or a 2.5mm plain hole.

Cliff’s range of connectors that fit into XLR panel cut-outs is enormous and includes hundreds of options covering audio, video, digital, optical, networking and power interfaces.

1U, 19” rack panels pre-assembled with up to 16 XLR panel cut-outs are now available to order from the firm.
